One day a year or two ago, on my mission to eradicate off white, I decided to paint my bathroom. This was actually the first room I painted all by myself in my house. I knew what colors I wanted the other rooms, so logically that seemed to only leave me with a few colors: red, teal, purple or pink for the bathroom. My bathroom at my parents house was teal, and my parents' is purple...I know right? I have always been into painting rooms bright colors haha. Red would clash with the rest of my house, so I opted for pink...hot pink.

While I was at it I painted the bathroom door with chalkboard paint, and the vanity green.
I really liked it at first...then I kind of got over it. It made the bathroom feel smaller, kind of dark, and I started to get insecure that it was too juvenile. So on Halloween weekend I decided enough was enough and thought Grey would be a nice addition to the palette of colors in the house. Everyone was skeptical...doubters. Turns out it looks AWESOME. I am really pleased. It is so calming now, and it feels bigger and more spacious in the bathroom. I painted the top half of the walls grey, and repainted the vanity that was green back to white.
The Grey I chose is Valspar's National Trust for Historic Preservation Mark Twain House Ombra Grey. I tried out another color of grey that was a little too blue, this one was just right.
I also tried out several shower curtains, one classic black and white, and one that was yellow and grey paisley...very anthropology. But neither looked great. So I decided to stick with my white and green one for a while.
