Too Old for These Shenanigans

PC Homecoming was this weekend. What does it mean when people repeatedly comment that they almost didn't recognize you because you look so good. Apparently I was tragic in college?

We stayed at the Days Inn in Clinton, it was the only hotel with any rooms left when we made our reservations.

Maggie: you's a ho
me: you'se a HOOOOOOOOOOOOE!
Maggie: I said dat you's a ho
Maggie: I'm already skeeved out by staying there anyway
me:hahaha i know
me: at least its new?
Maggie: it's not.
Maggie: this is the old days inn
Maggie: next to the wendy's
Maggie: that's been there forever
Maggie: that used to have signs up that they were selling lamps and comforters - if you were interested
me: hahahahahahaha
me: we're tote going to get an STD

I think we all made it out of there herpes free...except for the guest who decided it was a good idea to take a bath. The tests are still out on that one. And we were lucky enough to get the corner room with a love seat and extra windows of the awesome view of the Hardees parking lot.

From the looks of the following picture it was certain we were not going to starve to death. EA and I made boiled peanuts. They were so salty they made your mouth shrivel up on the inside but not bad for a first attempt at homemade BPs.

We reinstated sunset club just like in the good ole days, i.e. sitting outside with good friends watching the sunset over one of our favorite places on earth.

Hung out with two of my favorite people who I haven't seen in FOREVER! Ann Marie (on the left) was my big sister in ADPi, Jane Harper was her roommate. Together they are two of the funniest people I have ever met. If you look closely you will see Ann Marie's KA nametag...apparently she is a brother of the Order, which to her meant help yourself to our beverages, and she did.
At this particular point in time I found them sitting on the front porch of KA cat calling all the boys that walked by. (My sunglasses are huge! haha)

The Thain Sisters...who both need to eat a cheeseburger.
Maggie threatened to steal a napping Durham.

You know you're old when you have little people at your tailgate. But darn she's cute.
Durham was not happy about a ZTA winning homecoming queen.
Single Girl = fresh arms for mom's who say "Wow, my arms are getting tired. This kid sure is heavy...hint hint."
I am however getting too old for these shenanigans. For the first time I looked around Saturday night and felt like we looked obviously older than the rest of the fraternity house patrons...maybe it was the fact that it was freezing outside and we had on an appropriate amount of clothing unlike the young fetuses they call college students with their strapless dresses on? Or maybe it was the fact that even though we weren't out that late on Saturday night I came home Sunday and immediately collapsed on the sofa, took two naps, and never got up again except to go to bed later that night.
